Friday Music

The past few days have been, well, crazy. I really don't want to leak any info out but it's just too much to handle with the end of school coming and tons of papers due. It's been slow and no exciting news to blog. However I bought an amazing sweater from Cracker Barrel this morning. 75% off. Amazing.

You know what else is amazing. Well, who else is amazing? Nathan. He is my wonder. My love. My shiny lunch box.

I piece my life together

Pretending to see whats wrong

I sit and look out this window and feel the wind

kiss my skin

Wishing the wind could pick me up

and take me away

raw and love

My Claddagh ring from mom, and early birthday gift

These are unedited, raw pictures. Well the setting isn't on RAW but I did tweak the background and soften the face on camera settings. It's set on CA. I just woke up not too long ago rechecking the time I go into work and silly me! It's 1-9:30. I work 4hr shifts and this one shift suck today. I wish I worked yesterday so I could stay in and listen to the riders on the storm. da dada da daa
Every time it storms I think of Nathan telling me this story about him being on his bike and getting caught in a storm. Of course in my head I romanticized it but if anyone is caught in a storm while riding, it hurts. I guess if anyone is wearing the right gear, then it's okay? Not sure.
I'm kind of scared to take a shower while it's storming. I've always thought that if I showered I would get struck by lighting. I guess it's the stories my mother feed into my head. Oh well, maybe I can fix my hair into a beehive and stick a flower in it.
Well, I'll start making breakfast and dinner so that I may get ready for work!

making the best of the little things

Life. Such a gentle name for a short time of existing on this small world. We pick and choose how to live it, each choice always has a pathway to go down. Twisting and turning with every decision we make.
Today my mother took me to have my tags renewed because I simply have no money at this moment. Money comes and goes. I took her to Backyard Burger on Memorial as a thank you for helping me out. We then bought two waffle cones and sat in the booth for an hour and a half talking about where we lived and how it was an adventure. across the street beyond the tall fence is an apartment complex that used to scare us to step outside at night. Rethinking those past times brought a smile to my face. We moved there because it was cheaper than living in a Hotel 6 for a week.
This school semester is almost over with. I'm so thankful, I've worked so hard to push myself to get threw and I'm almost there. May will welcome me with her loving arm's and bring something new and unknown. How exciting. I'm waiting patiently for June because not only does it hold my birthday but a chance to enjoy a vacation with my man. My mother is kind enough to let us borrow her car since mine would sadly die on the way to our destination. We are bound west, a place I have only ventured to once and looking forward to it again!
I had mentioned to my sister that I think we should start going to a baseball field and play softball. It's been years since I've last tested my skill to hitting a ball and I would love to see if I still got game. Hopefully we will be able to do that and have a blast. That would be a great way to start our summer break.

projects projects projects

Shirt: Kohls (gift), Skirt: thrifted, Black leggings

I thought it would be cool to give a tour of Murfreesboro, my home town. This tour would be taken with picture and I'm not sure how many pictures. They will be made into a movie, a movie with music! The movie that has these said pictures will be shot after shot after shot. They will not be done in one day but in a series. While someone else is driving and I'm in the passenger seat or while I'm walking down the street. I'm pretty excited.

The other project is the Many Faces of People. This will feature people that I know and they too will be take not as a video but as single pictures. If you have no idea what I am talking about, think of a flip book. Now you got it? AWESOME! Anyway, thats just a few ideas floating in my head.

Hancock

As a young child my cloths either came from K-Mart, thrift stores or hand made from Butterwick, Simplicity, and Easy-Sew. There was a period were a lot of my fancy dresses came from a fancy store like Sears, Dillards, and does anyone remember Casnter Knott? Over the years I have gone threw so many styles and trends. Yet, there is nothing like going to the fabric store with your mom, flipping threw a pattern book, and pick out that special outfit then getting the fabric.
My favorite section is going to the customs and looking at the saloon girl outfits, civil war era dresses, and 1950s poodle skirt girls. Then I get excited when Vogue patterns go on sale.

lazy ass

This is my background on my lap top to remind myself that I will "Never Again" be such a lazy ass on my days off from school and work. To make the days I'm free full of studying, cleaning, and then use the spare time for fun. Fun? Whats fun? I'm trying to be serious about school and to make up for the terms I have missed. It's quite big but I think I can make it.

I have Rory to thank for. Her willful ways kind of motivated me to be hardcore about not falling behind again. The breaks were great while they lasted but it's time to start getting my gears moving again. I am so tired of school but I must make the best of it. My dream of working for a news paper is back on track. A photojournalist that is.

new groove

Flower Hot Topic

I feel much better to not have dreads on my head. I can get as creative as I want to again with my hair. Oh how I've missed you so. You may not believe me but I am growing out my dark natural hair again, I believe it's time but I want stop dying the fake part. Fake part meaning the unseemly reddish tint to my hair.

Madre and I had our pictures taken a few days ago and the man photographing us took many pictures of me but few of my madre. His plan was to ask me to model for him and he gave me his number. Not sure where that will go but who knows. I'm my own model and that's about it.

Maybe I can model in my new bathing suit I picked up at Lane Byrant. Pretty much an investment but worth the charge on my card. I'm trying not to let it get me in trouble and so far so good.

Getting things together in the apartment has been rather slow: lack of wanting to do it, school, work (when I do), and enjoying my free time without studying. We need book cases really bad but the ones I want are too expensive or can't find at a yard sale. The one things we really need is a study desk. oy!

I never question what to do, it tells me what to do. The photographs make themselves with my help. ~Ruth Bernhard
