freedom awaits us

Oh man, oh man. I can not wait for this trip and I can not wait till my birthday. It's just another year to age with grace but birthdays are a milestones to living! I feel people should always be happy that they lived such a crazy/happy/ whatever year. Besides Thanksgiving, birthdays are my favorite.

I thought I would share some things I found while I thrifted my money away.

A little Avon owl that had Moonwind Cream Sachet in it.

A very belated birthday gift to Nathan. An Avon bottle that Wild Country Aftershave in it. Still kind of smelled good.

A pretty shirt I wish I bought but sadly did not.

A shirt I did buy and feels so nice on my skin.

My mother got me started on Avon bottles a few years back. She has a 98yr old friend who to give me a kitten bottle and ever since that gift I've been hooked. If I can find it I'll do a show and tell.  I even found some chess pieces and I'm hoping to complete the set. There were two more at the thrift store but I really didn't want to spend anymore money. I think I'll look back on my bad habits one day to my weakness at thrift stores and laugh at myself. Ones persons give aways are soon to be my treasures and so on.

A Happy Mother's Day: Part I

For grandma

For my mom

Nathan's little sister took that picture of me for a project she was doing in her photography class. I attempted at my 2nd lotus flower, the first one looks horrible. I had fun making my grandmothers, just some bobbies and yard. I created the circle by using a coat hanger.

Crafts

So I'm like almost done with my moms gift, her birthday is tomorrow. I had mentioned how she needed something for her earings and necklaces and I've been wanting to try to make one for ever and I did it! A frame jewelery hanger. I know, I didn't do it right compared to other peoples frames but I only had a limted amount of resources. I think I did pretty good, however the first time I did it though it was a fail but this time it looks pretty good.

The mesh stuff is the what they use to make bows out of for floral. The hooks were really hard to put in.

It looks rough but it works. I also used krazy glue but it turned out to be a bust.

I really wanted to use the hemp I have but I couldn't find it.
I went for red yard until I can find the hemp. I had bought a backing so that a nail could be
used but the nails where to small and I couldn't hammer them in.
Tacks work great though. I twisted and then hit them with a hard object.
The yarn is going around the bottom.
Well, thats one project down 8 more to go.
