new look (kinda)

I colored my hair and it smells so good. I used Frutcis hair color and I'm going to wait on posting pictures. I'm stark naked! Well, kind of. ;o)

I've just been on this rebel girl music quest and Sleater-Kinney and Paramore are my two favorite bands. Speaking of Paramore, they're coming to the Ryman Nov 1. So going and I'll find a way. Since I've been listening to the girl rock music, I've taken it into my hands to change how I look, or change my hair. I cut about 1-2in. off and layered it a little. I need to cut it anyway because it's always getting tangled and split ends were evolving. Long hair really isn't for me anymore I guess. Sad face.

I miss using hair products anyway.

at last

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then the yarn I used 3 years ago. I have had so many people tell me that they love my hair, that they think it's sooo cool. That they want to do that to their hair.
"Love your locks"
"Thanks!"
It's like if you do something crazy to your hair, like this, people see you. I didn't do this to be seen, I did it because I've been thinking about it for a year and I took the jump when I bought my Sally's card and bought packets of fake hair for 65 cents to 1.95 for a month.
68 of these suckers are in my hair. single and double ended. It's not too have but I can feel it. It's nice, I can wake up, put it back or wear it as a bun and jump in the shower and go. LOVE IT.
LOVE IT.
The last two pictures are taken in my aunts SUV. Trying to keep my eyes off the road because I get car sick in the back seat. Her driving did not help a lot and I hate the creep stop creep stop at a light. Bugs me.

all dreaded up& no where to go

For a few years I have played with the idea of getting dreads and I did do that for awhile. Course they were not real dreads, they were yarn dreads or hair falls. I have learned that there are groups of girls and guys who come up with rules to doing dreads or kanekalon dreads. KK's are fake hair locks (like the barbie kind) and you back comb 30 to 150 of them. There are different kinds:

I, however, plan on using both single and double ended dreads. Online they are expensive to purchase but the fact that they are already to install are just wonderful but since I'm broke and can not afford the 180-230 dollar dreads i shall just drive to Sally's Beauty Supply and buy the pack of hair, rubber bands, and back comb the heck out of them.

I researched different ways to seal the locks in like above and one girl was a big help- zlyoga on youtube. She also has some pretty random videos on there that i like to watch. Some exciting stuff. Anyway.

I'm not going to post pictures of them, my dreads, just yet. I just wanted to leak out that I, Karen, will have FAKE dreads sometime by the end of this month. i have one more pack left and two braids open to finish. Some exciting stuff. I'm just bored with my hair, so instead of cutting it, I'm getting long dreads.

Who know's i might just become so good at it that I'll sale them for cheap, like $60-80. We'll see.

I never question what to do, it tells me what to do. The photographs make themselves with my help. ~Ruth Bernhard
